Nugget

This is the third nugget I am sharing in last few months. As readers show more support, I am excited to bring you more. These ideas come from daily life experiences and learning.

Today’s Nugget:  Difference of Opinion is inevitable

Nugget 3
Difference of Opinion

When we deal with humans, there is always different opinions. Everyone has a unique ‘thinking‘ based on their upbringing, growing up conditions and teachings from early days. And of course, even siblings don’t have same experiences. The difference of opinion is bound to happen.

There are few things that influence people’s opinion — Human ‘nature‘ of quickly jumping into conclusion (without finding out facts) and their own vested interest. These are the reasons why difference of opinion is inevitable. The only way is to steer the differences towards being more constructive than destructive. With destruction, no one gains, but if the conversation is led in a positive direction then two good ideas mingle together to make it a great one.

To start a constructive debate, the first step is acceptance. Once the problem(differences) is identified and recognized then the solution can be worked out. Everyone should agree to let go a little and work towards that ONE BIG IDEA. Letting go of the personal gains is important in achieving any success over differences.

We see the difference of opinion everywhere – between husband and wife, between parents and child, between friend, in offices and what not.  From now one, be determined to steer any differences in a positive direction and come up with a inclusive (agreeable to everyone) idea. Never destroy relationships due to differences.
